Hi, Ciao, Hola, Bonjour, Hallo, Hej.
Back in the early 2000s we acquired a wonderful place out in the country. Friends old and new, family, travellers and the local community have all played their part as we have slowly explored, discovered and restored this place of profound natural beauty and intrigue. We’ve always talked about the idea of one day hosting a larger group of people as an extended family to unlock the true potential of this land.
Nature is wild here and one of the things we love is the range of biodiversity that thrives in the local environment, which hasn’t been treated with any pesticides or harsh chemicals for over 50 years. But it takes a lot of time and energy to live in harmony without the aid of modern day convenience-culture, techniques which are used in the mass-production of food and resources to support our growing population and rapidly changing world.
But we are not Luddites either. We want to learn and educate about how to live sustainable lives in the modern world. We want to find the balance.
